A Food and Beverages (F&B) service personnel in a hotel or restaurant is a person who receives and serves food and beverage orders to guests while also ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout the dining experience. In other words, an F&B personnel is responsible for creating a memorable dining experience that encourages guests to return to the establishment.

An F&B Assistant is specifically assigned to serve food and drinks to customers or provide guests with food and beverages as requested, promptly and pleasantly. They must be well-groomed and maintain a professional appearance, as they represent the image of the hotel. Proper grooming is essential because they work in direct view of guests and handle consumable items. Service must be delivered in a clean and hygienic manner to protect guests from contamination and foodborne illnesses. Poor hygiene or an unclean appearance can result in an unpleasant and unhealthy dining experience.

Food and Beverage Operations Supervision involves a wide range of responsibilities, including controlling billing and cashiering processes, handling reservations, managing inventory, maintaining consistent service quality, and coordinating various catered events.
